Booktique

When you “check-out” the Chandler Booktique, you will find a great selection of “gently-used” books, magazines, videos, CDs, and carefully selected gift items for you to choose from.

The Chandler Booktique obtains its inventory through generous donations by library patrons and the general public. An annual Friends book sale is also held each fall at the Kansas Expocentre, offering over 80,000 items for purchase.

If you wish to donate books or other literary items they may be left at the big white book deposit bin located at the southwest corner of the Library. Donations may also be left at the Information Desk at the Library. For those who have three or more boxes of items, staff will be available to pick-up the donations. For additional information call the Friends office at 580-4445.

Operated by staff and volunteers of the Friends of the Library organization, proceeds from sales go towards supporting library programs, services and activities.

The Chandler Booktique is named in honor of a generous gift from Anderson Chandler and his family. Chandler is the chairman and president of the Fidelity Bank and Trust Co.
